Premier Time!

Tonight February 8th,2011 was the premier of Only In America with Larry The Cable Guy.
Larry the Cable Guy believes the United States of America is the greatest country on the face of the earth and he's out to prove it. In this new series, Larry crisscrosses the nation, going totally off the beaten path to find the people, places and things that define this nation's unique history. From panning for gold in the hills of California to leading a cavalry charge in a Civil War reenactment in Virginia, Larry gives history a fun, down-home twist in the new one-hour series ONLY IN AMERICA WITH LARRY THE CABLE GUY

On the premier Larry the Cable Guy learns how to make Moonshine from a genuine redneck moonshiner  and even gets to dress up with his bootlegger bonnet, Only in America.

They make the mash using cornmeal and stream water. By fermenting the mash and boiling off the alcohol and catching the steam through the pipe and the condenses the steam back into liquid and that's your moonshine.

180 proof alcohol! In the words of Larry the Cable Guy, "it ain't for sissy's." After making the moonshine Larry The Cable Guy proceeds to get in an old Ford and practice the get away techniques they used back in the day of moonshiners. Larry even gets to drive the transportation vehicle they are using to transport the moonshine and try's out some fancy moves on the gravel roads.

After the drive he gets to meet a Nascar legend Bill Elliot. Larry gets to ride in a car with Bill Elliot while Mr. Elliot burns some doughnuts in the asphalt. Poor Larry the Cable Guy, looked like he might have almost had a heart attack.

After this part of the episode he moves onto Burlington, Vermont to learn Etiquette. First on the task list is learning how to dress. Larry gets all dressed up  in a nice button down and a pretty tight pair of jeans. Still didn't loos the hat though. Good luck with that Ms. Emily Post, you made progress so A for effort. Larry goes onto learns how to properly introduce himself and takes himself to the street to practice. He then goes onto the great Emily Post's home to keep on with the learning trend.

He learns table manners and learns the history behind  etiquette.  He then steps into a war zone, bathroom etiquette, which apparently he never knew existed. who'd a thought it.  He ended the episode with competitive frog jumping contest. The show was well worth the watch. If you get a chance you should definitely check it out.
